I expected to see simplified chibies on somethin like big ponyville map, but not directly in gameplay.

I didn't want to try something too advanced for what I want. I will say that Tiarawhy's Ponk Quest and Harvest Moon were big influencers for the look and feel. I still have those larger character sprites that I will use for dialogue when ever you interact with an npc. Another reason is to have some incentive to move around the world with tbe abilitiy to fast travel if u don't feel like exploring so I figured this was a good wahly to keep it visually appealing in some way.

Does that make sense?
