This was a fun little something I tried over the weekend and shared on my Patreon, but I thought I'd post over here as well. I decided to play around with patterning dragon feet after seeing a tutorial by Nazegoreng and, I have to say, I'm really happy with the outcome of this little practice test. It was a fun method to try and one I'll definitely be applying to the dragon pattern I've been slowly developing.
I want to make a habit of trying a little something new every weekend, be it either sewing or art, purely for the sake of learning. I started taking art commissions when I was seventeen years old, over ten years ago, and one of the big mistakes I made was not devoting more time simply to learn, branch out, and strengthen my weaknesses. Technically, I was still learning on the job, so to speak, but I was limited to what my clients wanted. Being as the vast majority wanted relatively the same thing, I didn't get much practice beyond. So, learning from past mistakes, I want to make weekend studies a regular thing.
Maybe I'll take the next few weekends to really work on that dragon pattern. I started it back in the late Spring/early Summer but never got past patterning the third test because I was so busy with life and commissions lol. Someday!
I post little tests and whatnot like this on my Patreon, so if you're interested in seeing the process of how I make plushes, you can have access to my activity feed for only $1.00 per month at https://www.patreon.com/thatplushgirl.
