ernest can eat ghosts by grabbing them on his own, but can use that trusty book of his to basically become a ghost vacuum.
he can do other things w the book too, it basically enhances his powers! wowza
over use of the book will cause headaches and nosebleeds, though.
his body can live off of ghosts but he rather just talk a ghost into passing on itself instead of forcing it to pass on by eating it. so he'd rather eat normal food
