Hayden was pretty small in high school so he got picked on often. When Ari transferred to the same school, she became very protective of him. They bonded and found out they had the same sense of humor, tastes in movies and music, and share a similar moral code.

Hayden was only beat up once when Ari wasn't there... And she scared the living crap out of the bully when she found out. She refuses to say what she did or said to scare the guy. No one ever touched him again.

The following year, he grew a few more inches and filled out. People had no idea who he was and he started to become more confident. Even started dating.

Through the years, Hay and Ari had their ups and downs, but they always loved each other and looked after the other.
