Hnnn, posting some of my many unfinished things, in the hopes that I will soon finish some of them. I have a naughty habit of starting personal projects and then getting bored. 8I

Haha, no, it's middleaged!Sirius. Right after the Potters' house blowed up and he's all cranky pants and intending to rip Peter a new one. I'd been thinking about Harry Potter stuff again since the sixth movie came out, and I realized I'd never seen anyone drawing Sirius in that particular phase of his life.
I need to push the expression a bit more on that one though. Doesn't look upset enough to me. :P

Show the whited of the eyes more, and if you want to see rage, then the highlights move above or near the top of the iris, where the lids become somewhat squared by the eyebrow. Meaning that the eyes take on more of their spherical shape when the lids peel back. I think that hunching the shoulders and raising and squaring the lips will also add onto the ferocity of his expression.
If you need help I could teach you facial expression muscles in open canvas to really pull off some sick emotions!

Haha, well you can't quite tell from the teeny preview, so here's what it looks like a bit bigger: http://i202.photobucket.com/albums/.....gen/sirius.jpg
I'm trying to go for that really sort of ugly expression you get in between anger and being so upset you'd like to puke. I agree with you on the making the eyes bigger thing, and I think I need to pull his mouth corners down and out more too. And figure out how to crap to shade upset chin dimple things. I think I'd begun with those shoulders more hunched, but what you say makes me realized how unhunched they became, lol!
I <3 expressions and body language. There are so many tiny things you can say with them that you can't with speech bubbles. C:

Exactly yeah. Well, what you're doing is you're moving the eyelids in such a way that it's kind of like having an invisible hand pull the skin up and over the wrong part of the lids, instead of having it conform to the shape of the ball of the eye, which is what should happen in any foreshortened state, no matter how much the eye squints.
Draw the eyeball, and make sure that you have the eyes looking straight forward first, then make sure that the lids are wrapping around it then, and you'll get a much more dramatic look. Also, from the look of the dimples you want under the chin, you have to place them higher, as they wrinkle between the cleft and lower lip.

This girl's got both the dimples I'm talking about and the line that I think you're talking about http://www.geelongadvertiser.com.au.....crying_fan.jpg

This is the best poop, ever!
I second 'roz above me, there is some serious dynamism going on in some of this and it you make both the slight perspective and the various angles seem so effortless. I really wish I had the grasp of anatomy (especially humans. Especially men! Oh)
Always loved how you did faces as well, can never tell you this enough. You're the one I've been going to for face inspiration (facespiration?) lately. Thankkks for sharing
PS. Good lord, them hands!

Why thankee kindly! And phshaw, you can draw animals way better than me, and I goes to you for colourspiration. So it is an even trade, methinks! 8D And if I couldn't draw manthings by now, I would be sad at myself, for I have been trying to draw the damn things since birth, haha. My females occasionally fall by the wayside, but when it occurs to me that they are doing so I go and draw them for a bit until they've caught up. I'm probably going to have to do that again soon, actually, haha!
And dey be my handses, yo! Well, fancied up a bit, but my hands nevertheless.
I can't decide whether I want to finish Glowy-Ball Man or Upset Sirius first. :I
