This family is part of a my story bout cryptids and stuff

So these guys are cryptid hunters. Well, technically just the dad who stands in the middle. He doesn't have a real name but he goes by Red Herring, or Red. He keeps his cryptid hunting job a secret. He knows that a majority of the towns people are probably cryptids so he has to keep himself a low profile. He's hunting the cryptids because his wife died from a notorious cryptid called The Scarecrow. He'll avenge his wife by wiping clean all cryptids that has ever stepped foot in his town. His day job is as a hunstman and chief, so it's pretty easy to hide his tracks.

He has 2 sons, the oldest called Vincent and a young red-eyed mix breed named James. Vincent being rebellious has caused lots of trouble for the town and his dad. He blames not only the cryptid, but also his dad, for losing his mom. The only person he allows to be close to him is his little brother James.

James is totally oblivious to the commotion around town and in his little family. It's because he's protected by Vincent as he makes sure his brother is safe. He's not blood related to the Red Herring, he was adopted. Found by the doorstep the night the Red Herring's wife was murdered. Red rarely gives the boys any sort of affection and though he raised James as his own, he is skeptical that James is just an "ordinary" pup.
