If the AVGN's tastes are at all similar to those of the website he is allied with(ScrewAttack, for those of you out there who have no knowledge of this stuff), he will never touch this game. Comix Zone was on ScrewAttack's Top 20 Genesis Games as #14(though I'm not exactly pleased with that list - Shining Force II and Phantasy Star IV deserved places on that list far better than SF1 and PSII).
I see... damn... kinda makes sense then why he wouldn't touch on ranting on the difficulty of this game. Then again, after seeing a couple people say that it wasnt that difficult makes me think that I didn't put enough time into the game... or the fact that I save stated the whole game on the ps2 at 1% health a lot.
7 is when I think things started to go downhill. IMO, there hasn't been a GOOD Final Fantasy since 7(9 almost did a good job, but fell a bit short), which was just not as good as 6 in my mind. I don't think PS4 "rivals" 6 but then again I don't tend to consider something to be "rivaling" another in quality until it's literally only one step below. PS4 was two or three steps below FF6.
On that note, are you familiar with The Spoony One?

hahaha haven't played it but it reminds me of this one movie... can't remember, it was like.. an older 80's flick or something with brad pitt in it, where he gets zapped into a cartoon world.

Yes indeed...
Many tears shall be shed when playing as Ryu.
Ninja Gaiden. Words cannot compare to firsthand experience.
Toward the end, if you still have any emotion left in your body, the only pleasure you will receive will be garnered for throwing Ryu from tall ledges into bottomless pits. And lets not forget about the jetpack ninjas, they may be enough to make you quit the game even if you get to the last level.
You have been warned.

My friend's father on Battlefield 2142. And then there's Battlefield 2. And then Battlefield Bad Company. COD 4. Halo. Battlestations Pacifc. :C gah, come on! How the hell does a destroyer get to do a 90 degree turn, but I'm stuck with 45 degrees! T_T

I'm pretty sure hitting enemies only trained your health if they blocked, I remember hitting plenty that didn't.
THAT SAID, a great way to destroy objects without getting hurt as much was to: "Knock an enemy into them" didn't always destroy them but damaged them "use dynamite", OR the best way to eliminate every enemy and screw up any objects was to hold down a (or a' and b, some combination can't remember, just hold down buttons until it works) for about 8 seconds. Sketch takes some damage but rips part of the page off and makes a killer paper airplane that will one shot any enemies around him.
Good for clearing big groups without risking getting hurt... but yeah the game was fucking terribly hard, though I still loved it. Vector man was great to, though not nearly as difficult.

yeah, but for some reason they blocked a lot with me. I did figure out that there were ways to knock objects into the enemies or to use your items, but if you use them too early, in some situations you would be screwed. Especially if your rat died at any point beforehand. And I remember the paper airplane. The first time I used it, I was amazed at the damage it did to everyone. But then it flew back and hit me as well... ^^; I make sure to duck now whenever i use it. As for vectorman, that was great! Kind of a big thing back then as well. :3
Haha yeaaaah, but if you think comix zones enemies where a pain in the ass, do you remember the final boss? Lord, I must have had to go through that game 20+ times before I was finally able to beat him and keep the girl from drowning, SUCH a pain. Despite all that though it was one of those games that has a fond spot in my memory despite it's difficulty.
