Storm would've wanted nothing more than to chill out and relax for the last few weeks of Summer, but his friend and fellow teammate Blaze had other plans. Given that the rest of Team Indigo, Stiletto and Neon, were all for it, Storm finally decided that if they were going, he'd join them. It was the Poke-Star Rangers. Since their goals back at the PCA were similar (Storm wanted to protect weaker students from bullies, Blaze wanted to be a cop upon graduating, Neon wanted to help those in isolated regions like her parents, and Stiletto just wanted to beat-up trash talkers), it was natural that they would all join the same sector: Galactic Defense.
Despite the optimism of his teammates, Storm's still a little uneasy about being in space...

<Storm> I really don't understand what the point is. I mean, I bet we'll be confined to the cramped quarters of a space ship the entire, and with all the gravity-shifting and...

<Blaze> Honestly, Storm... relax. We'll all be together up here, and I'm sure we can handle anything that comes our way as a team, like we always have.

<Stiletto> All RIGHT! I've always wanted to put the smack-down on some aliens!

<Neon> Look at all the stars from here... They're BEAUTIFUL!

<Blaze> Why are you so uncomfortable about this anyway, Storm? Is it because of that circumstance back when you were a kit?

<Stiletto> Huh? What happened to 'im?

<Storm> I saw a movie about some people up in space... and... bad stuff happened... and I got really scared...

<Stiletto> *snicker* You're kidding...

<Storm> Hey, I was six years old! Cut me some slack!

<Neon> You never got over it? No wonder you have been acting so avoidant...

<Storm> I just get worried, y'know?

<Blaze> *puts a paw on Storm's shoulder* I won't let anything happen to us... I promise.

<Stiletto> *whispers* They probably said that in the movie, too, right?

<Neon> Stiletto!

<Blaze> I have to go check out our arrangements; you three wait here.

<Stiletto> *watches as the Ninetales trots off* Y'know, I don't think I've seen her this happy for nearly a year. Wonder what's got her in such a good mood.

<Storm> If I didn't know any better, I'd say she might be glad to be away from something back at home.

I'm sure it was pretty easy for Blaze to convince the others to give the PSR a try before the next semester at the Academy started. Storm's space-o-phobia actually stemmed from something similar that happened to me when I was young (my case isn't as bad as his, but it makes for some interesting possibilities considering it's a side of him we haven't yet seen :p ).
It was actually kinda fun figuring out the uniforms the team would wear at the space station, though I didn't see what they would look like for serpentine characters, so I had to make my best guess with Neon. Storm goes for the classic look while Blaze takes the body-hugging variety that shows off her figure (she can be a tad more vain than some might expect; her Spring Break pic is proof enough of that XD ), and Stiletto takes the single-bottom-buttoned-jacket-that-shows-off-her-chest look, perfect for distracting her opponents and maybe giving her a chance to show off, too. I think some of the other students might be rubbing off on her...
