For a while now I'd been releasing songs I'd been working on, without an album cover or title to align them to. That day has since ended.
"Esters of Wood Rosins" was something I read in the ingredients of a fizzy drink can I bought at Uni one Friday. It made no sense as a term, so I figured it was suitable. The red and yellow stuff at the top is photo-manipulated clouds and the golden lion in the middle is taken from the Atlas Barbary Lion which has been previously mentioned. Same logo as always, but thicker and darker. The lettering style used on "Esters..." is inspired by that of Winger's first album, though particularly the text with "Sahara" in the bottom right corner which was what the album was originally supposed to be called.

What's funny is that "esters of wood rosins" actually makes sense as a term for me, being a Biochemistry student XD
An ester is a class of organic compounds having a generic structure of
O
||
R - C - O - R' (the oxygen atom is supposed to be on top of the || but FA keeps fucking it up XD)
where the R and R' groups can be generic chains of carbons and hydrogen atoms. What they mean by "esters of wood rosins" is probably they only took the ester compounds from extracts of wood rosins (maybe they meant wood resins, IDK).
But yeah...that's your free chemistry lesson for the day XD It doesn't help that I'm studying for my "Natural Products Chemistry" course at the moment which deals with stuff like that hehe.
I should send you my notes for that class to give you inspiration for more album titles lol

Ah! I did attempt to look up exactly what it might be, and I think I did find a carbon chain that looks like that being shown to me, as well as what is basicly a small block of stretchy-lookin' goo gubbins. But again, literally just written in the ingredients list on a can of Fanta. And I went with it.
Biological terms and other things I see and don't understand do end up giving me a fair bit of inspiration for what album titles and stuff should be. I have no idea what you'd envision a record called "Esters of Wood Rosins" to sound like, but hopefully it'll match what the record actually sounds like when it's done~
