Raz, beaten to the limits of his mortality, remembers the words his grandfather said
"Raz, you were destined to die" he said before vanishing, and raz always pondered the words, they had a deeper meaning
destined to die? so i can save millions? so some one can live? OR
Raz stood up, and announced his answer
"BUT NOT TODAY, TODAY I LIVE!" he yelled, as he hit his pendant "SE-UN! TEMPAS TOPAZ!" it shone as the blade filled his hand, as it did, the change hit him like a wave of energy, but it emanated from with in, like his insides exploded filling his body with absolute power,
"i maybe destined to die, but not now, not today, today i live" he growled
(if some of you don't guess who his grandfather is, i will be shocked)

Nice, the wings seem a little weak though
a few tips is to make sure they maintain the feathers all the way to the back bone

those are some really detailed pics, but great to think up some easy ways to stylize them.
and you can always just use an easy design like:

its really stylized and simplified for making the character look balanced but edgy ^^
