Living with a pet A-10 is like owning a large predator,
oldtiger knows this too well, and like any neighborhood that has large dogs, they tend to bark at each other saying how badass they are to each other.
Even a Sukhoi SU-25 thinks its a badass like the warthog.

Supersonic doesn’t translate to anything but running out of gas and never seeing a target. Only very recently have jets approached a practical level of sustained Mach+ flight (F22 supercruise). And even they don’t stay that fast for any length of time when engaged. It’s a meaningless capability in air-to-mud missions, to say nothing of CAS. Granted, it’s great for dash speeds and interceptors closing on an inbound threat but that isn’t what Frogfoots (Frogfeet?) and Hogs do.
Kinda fun to say you’ve done it, though.

I’m not so sure that’s the case (but I’m biased). Combat effectiveness depends on a number of things but the Hog’s cannon has no analog on the SU-25. Then there’s the forward-firing ordnance we carry and now the LGB/GBU free-fall stuff that the C model sports (all-glass cockpit and digital electronic backbone that improves situational awareness and cross-platform data transfer/coordination with other players both airborne and on the ground). Don’t think the ‘25 has kept up.
As for turn time—load dependent. AGMs are quick and easy to load as are bombs (parent mounted ones, anyway). Get a hot crew and you can put a can of 30mm (550 rounds) on the jet in minutes. A quick gun reload is challenging but amazing when done by a sharp crew...almost scary to watch. Lots of moving parts that involves explosives...like a NASCAR pit stop with attitude.
