After a long days work, I finally decided to go out for a small relaxing trip in the nearby stream. It was cool against my scales, and I could feel it slowly easing my claws as I wandered towards the shallow end positioned towards the waterfall. Getting comfortable and laying on my abdomen, I quickly found myself melting into the heat.

A soft wing beat snapped me out of my haze, and my gaze turned towards him. Sly, my beloved mate, decided to come by and give me a surprise visit. Not only was he back early, but he'd tracked me here without me knowing. That was an accomplishment in itself!

With a cheerful chirp, I rolled onto my back as our tails wove lightly together, paws raising to take his neck and pull him closer for a ginger nuzzle.
