Obligatory annual art summary from Sketchbuck!
This was a weird year for me art wise, I had a slow down over a few months due to external influence, so you'll have to excuse this year's three blank-spots!
Jan - Full View - Commission. I had a ball with the natural markings and colouring in this piece, I start picking up little ideas for environmental shading and details in this piece that I'll reflect on later in the year on more detailed pieces.
Feb - Full View - Commission. Oh snarls, how I do enjoy drawing you! Shading on my character illustrations is no stress anymore, it only took several years to get to that stage!
Mar - N/A - N/A.
Apr - Full View - Trade. I'm rarely available for trades these days due to time and finance constraints, but it's good to ruffle the feathers from time to time. What a neat character this was to draw!
May - Full View - Commission. Badges, I really enjoy badges as I get to focus entirely on expression, but have way more detail than my icons.
Jun - Full View - Commission. I was really happy with how the dramatic lighting turned out on this piece, I'm developing my shading as always; pushing to improve.
Jul - Full View - Commission. It's a pleasure to have the opportunity to work on full illustrations, combining my developed shading skills with placing a character in the background. This was a particularly interesting brief, I had fun with the effects and lighting on this.
Aug - Full View - Commission. The start of what's to come, a massive wave of reference sheets, I'm so not sorry.
Sep - N/A - N/A
Oct - Full View - Commission. KaPOW, I really love pieces where I get to have fun with the poses. Ya know what, I'm pretty happy with my confidence in shading this year!
Nov - Full View - Commission. Oh my I do love full illustrations, and natural colourations? Sign me up! I had a really great time developing my background skills on this piece too.

I'm incredibly motivated for 2018, I've got a lot going on next year, so let's SMASH IT! Thank you, as always, to each and every one of you for your support, especially those who take a little time out of their day to comment on my work, you really lighten my days up!
