After a good 4 or 5 hours of drawing and aimlessly using the watercolour brush, i finally finished such a simple piece. I really just wanted to capture the winter feeling with the gentle glow of my Protogen who loves the snow. It took more time with the background and colours. It looks brilliant with a starry sky behind. I was trying to make a snowfall as well but had no clue how to go about it without it looking too choppy or lame.
I don't have money for Photoshop so Firealpaca is what i used. It was a grand time just drawing though. I didn't want to just leave it as my Protogen in the pose either. The background was a last minute choice. Which naturally fell into place as i just played with different shades of colours and brushes. The trees took the most time. With 4 layers of blended greens and white along with the shading and lighting. Eh. I dunno. It's just how I felt it needed to be done.
