After researching great danes for 
dauphin's character portrayed here I had to make 2 things happen.
1) Great danes have a natural frown, or rather natural regal look of distinguished sophistication... I had to make that smile.
2) There was already a fairly kind looking one already depicted in Disney's "Oliver and Company" and so I had to, with all of my might, simply avert my eyes from that movie and simply studie photos.
I do hope this came out for the best
