Akugarou is an old school werewolf who enjoys causing mayhem. This night, his mischief caught up with him when he was attacked by the pack he was once a member of. Bruised and badly beaten, Akugarou has barely escaped with his life. Thanks to an advanced regeneration ability, he lives to hunt another day.

Here we see Aku, vowing to end the lives of his attackers. "Nemo me impune lacessit," a quote from Edgar Allen Poe's, "The Cask of Amontillado," flashes through his mind like a lightening bolt.

No one wounds me with impunity...
