Hell yeah. He was very talented and from the stories I've heard, he seemed very modest. I mean, how many stars go on stage today and take the time to introduce themselves? With him, before the show, it was always, "Hello. I'm Johnny Cash."

Yeah, the other thing I found humbling about him was that he (eventually) would admit to the things he did in the past and how it changed him. And how June Carter saved him time and again as well.
Always felt a lot of lessons could be learned still from folks like Mr. Cash. Of course that would depend on what you're looking at and how you interpret some of it.

Dude... so true... NOBODY deletes Johnny Cash's stuff from our devices. ONLY US. He made us laugh, cry, and generally his music associates and rings with us all. Even a Boy Named Sue.

Course, Johnny's rendition of HURT truly can make any man cry. It hits deep. I heard it just months before he died, when CMT was a bit more popular back then... and I cried watching the video... and when I heard he died, I cried harder. We lost a great American musician that day...

We did. And you're right. That song is haunting. You can hear the pain in his voice.

One of the few other songs that's kind've haunting is "The Politics & The Life - Daniel Pemberton and Gareth Williams", which was used during the release life-action video for HALO3: ODST, and it was a just plain HAUNTING video to watch in it's entirety... was especially weird for my gf to see me singing it when we started watching King Arthur and I just started up when I heard the singer.
