As an absolute beginner's grade suit, I say yes.
- Mass produced.
- Cheap materials.
- Super entry level prices.
You can get a small selection of heads that copy cat the general mascot bubble head design. (Toys/action alley/front door) Cruise on over to night wear and pick up a body suit from those bedroom sleepers that (maybe...not likely) come somewhat close to the head's intended creature. Take a trip and possibly find some foot slippers that have claws on them. I've even seen animal gloves, floating about.
Frankly, it's really strange to think that commercial businesses are even coming around to the fandom. Alas, I suppose that Wal-Mart is becoming furry friendly the only way it knows how...sales.
One thing that I want to be absolutely sure about pointing out...these are "suits" that any random person can try out. Especially kids and young adults. Cleanliness is a must rule to think about. I mean, how does one clean the inside of a suspect fursuit head, anyway? (Like...say, of lice???)
These China recreations should never be considered a replacement of a real, one of a kind and tailor made suit of your character. But, if you want to be that white rabbit from Alice in Wonderland, running around the convention halls...go for it. If your budget won't clear a full hundred dollars, this may work out just fine.
