This is what I've been working on most of November (aside from SOT, that is), even though it's only about 35 pages long... Okay, so I've been a bit distracted lately with other things, but I'm still writing when I can.
There's not much to really say about these meta stories in general, and same goes for this year's. It was actually planned to be a bit longer, but I really didn't want it to drag on. Maybe next year I'll get a bit more audience participation (whereas I only got 2 questions from the AMA).
Be warned though, these things tend to have some pretty harsh truths to them. I don't think this one is too bad, but I really don't hold back when it comes to these things (okay, maybe I hold back a little for the sake of entertainment). A special thanks to Ozzy for giving me a much needed explanation of why people Celebrate (I meant to give him credit in here somewhere, but don't think I got around to it). One that actually made sense to me, let alone explained a lot.
Still, enjoy this silly short meta. And happy holidays everyone <3

Strange how different Diego and Krow is even though they are related, I'm finally reading your stories again yay!!!
Man the fourth wall is so broken it will never be repaired again haha, I am the same with parties, even though it's for different reasons and we react a little differently towards it I still hate parties and never ever want to go to one and would just want to curl up in a corner.
Holidays are ok for me I like them, mostly because the only people at the party is my mother and maybe my sister, that's it haha.
I completely get what you mean by being used yet still helping people whenever you can, I have barely experienced it but I still get what you mean because I have witnessed it happening second-hand with my mother, everyone always either turns thier back on her or uses her yet she still keeps helping, it's part of the reason why I have so much respect for her.

Do you remember that? It's what you said on your first comment (okay, actually the third comment) of any of my stories. Really, what you just did here (above) is just about perfect. All you really have to do is just talk to them as if you were having a conversation
Yeah, I get the feeling almost everyone feels different about parties, but this is how I always felt. Granted, the more people, the worse off I feel I become, but even when the scale is so small, I never felt part of it. And I know what you mean about mothers, I still think mine is a god damn superhero with the amount of stuff she's been through (mine and yours both, really). They definitely deserve an entire holiday dedicated to them, and then some
