I needed a break from the language and drew this.
Anyways! The boys slept in one big bed until they were teens. This piece is for development for Jahid, his character is hard for me to figure out. He's just not a super exciting guy. He's a good boy that obeys all the rules. He's very proper and gets excited over boring and usually stupid stuff. (like plants and economics lol)
Some nights if Afia couldn't sleep, he'd sneak her away from mom and dad and take her to his room and read to her (really boring) books. He tries to be quiet but Afia usually wouldn't shush. Nadir always woke up and snap at him to go to bed (cause it's 2 in the morning) Afia loves it when Jahid reads to her as she gets older she'd ask him to read to her instead of dad or mom (Makes Loki jelly every time)
I think Jahid and Afia would be really close when older. And Nadir and Faolan would be close. Of course they all have pretty good relationships with one another.
Also, Faolan is a huge snuggle bug and always would cuddle with Nadir, unless Nadir was cranky, then he'd retreat to Jahid or mom and dad. Sometimes he'd just sleep between his brothers. It makes him feel secure and safe.
Jahid's hair isn't naturally wavy, it's just like that because he puts it in a braid everyday so it would get wavy. I had fun drawing Nadir's hair, and I'm happy with his hand (i struggled). I did change the look of Afia as a baby. As I said in her adult look, her dead side doesn't have hair, so kept it like that even as a baby. (she's like, 1 1/2 years old here) Her hair does turn gray as she gets older. And the red Iris disappears too
