Personality:
Cheerful, a touch unstable, and a true jackass at heart, Arlon is a ‘’’’unique ‘’’’ individual with an innate knowledge of how people think and work. Manipulative, and is incredibly adept at hiding a threat behind a friendly smile and the right words. Can get quite dorky in domestic settings, and is easily flustered when shown affection. Vengeful, and can be cruel. Intelligent, with an expansive knowledge of how magic works and an interesting perspective on ancient entities he had encountered or watched in years past, but unfamiliar to the modern world. Has a morbid sense of humour, and isn’t above playing with the laws of reality as a joke. Tends to fuck around most of the time, but can be serious when the time calls for it. Fully aware of how much most of the world (including most of his family) fears and/or hates him, and takes it in stride to mess with them (usually harmlessly) in any way he can. While he won’t admit it, he is terrified of becoming the person he used to be. Works behind the scenes to protect his family, taking out threats that they never even knew existed.

Prior to redemption, Arlon was a cruel, calculating individual who would never hesitate to hurt or kill those that he needed to, or if they got in his way. Did what he had to do to survive. Pragmatic, rarely doing anything that he didn’t need to do, but didn’t care for unneeded loss of life if necessary. Wanted the Empyrean throne, reasoning that it rightfully belonged to him, as he was the oldest. Motivated partially by revenge, but also acted the way he did in a terribly misguided desire to be loved. Due to years of hatred and isolation, and centuries of being imprisoned alone, Arlon had periodically slipped into violence and savagery, becoming an unreasonable beast for up to several decades at a time before dragging himself back to a sane state of mind. Parts of these personality traits remain, and mainly come out when confronting a threat to his family.

- Arlon often ties his hair back, puts on glasses, and wears sweaters/thigh-high socks not out of any need to do so, but to try and make himself appear less ‘threatening’ to the Empyrean populace and his younger siblings. Results vary, seeing as he’s known to have been a bit of a monster in the past, and his family thinks that he’s grown a little too attached to the ‘‘‘‘‘‘‘hipster’’’’’’’ aesthetic (despite him claiming that he’s just being ironic).

- Lost his wings in his youth, severely inhibiting powers that could’ve been nearly limitless. He can still use magic however, but the severe damage to his internal magic paths have severely crippled his abilities in doing anything that requires too much energy output at once.

- Hates Discord, claiming that his opposite is an unnatural abomination and that them coming into contact will tear apart the fabric of reality and end the worlds as they know it. Discord and Glados both think he’s being an overly melodramatic man-baby. Really, when it comes down to it, they’re actually really similar to each other.
