"Me emme pelkää hyökkääjien uhkauksia ja olemme valmiit vastaamaan sodanlietsojain iskuun kaksinkertaisella iskulla. - We do not fear the aggressor's threats and we stand ready to answer twice as hard."
The Winter War or as the Fins call it, Talvisota. The war took place between 30 November 1939 and 13 March 1940 when the Red Army of the Soviet Union tried to occupy Finland after they had refused the Soviet's demands. The Soviets were expecting a quick and easy victory over the Finnish but the Finnish troops resisted for months, though they were outnumbered and had fewer weapons. When the war ended Finland had lost 11% of its territory and stayed independent. 70,000 Finns died or were wounded, the Soviet losses are valued at many times over that number.
World opinion largely supported the Finnish cause, and the Soviet aggression was generally deemed unjustified. Many volunteered to join the fight. Swedes, Norwegians, Danes, Finnish Americans and other nationalities came to Finland's aid. Though it's not enough. However, the poor performance of the Red Army would ultimately encourage Hitler to invade the Soviet Union 2 years later.

Winter is somewhat here everyone, and what's better to start this winter with a winter colder than the Russian's. We're back again with the Monthly History Time and as always with more World War 2 artwork. I'm thinking of expanding MHT to another time period as well but that's the plan for next year. Also for the next year, I'll be changing ways that I manage and do things.
I'll announce more detail on those later on. But until then next time on MHT, we'll still be in the cold but this time with Screaming Eagles.
I use CLIP Studio Paint EX for all my artwork
"Only Finland—superb, nay, sublime—in the jaws of peril—Finland shows what free men can do. The service rendered by Finland to mankind is magnificent. They have exposed, for all the world to see, the military incapacity of the Red Army and of the Red Air Force. Many illusions about Soviet Russia have been dispelled in these few fierce weeks of fighting in the Arctic Circle. Everyone can see how Communism rots the soul of a nation; how it makes it abject and hungry in peace and proves it base and abominable in war."

Yes, this war was lost, but won) Soviet officers were old-fashioned, former generals of the Russian Empire. And on the side of the enemy is the same Russian general Mannerheim, who built an excellent line of defense. Thanks to this war, the Soviet troops understood their mistakes and could create a barrier against the future attack of Germany. These territories were necessary.
Finns did right that they resist to USSR, because Red Terror literally demonstrated a judaism rule "kill the best of goys". Ethnic Russian scientists, engineers, artists, writers, doctors and other intelligent people were killed by ancient wasteland nazis from Soviet government. Finnish nation could suffer like Russians too if they lost
you cheer for Russia everywhere! you, nazi, deny the existence of Ukrainians. you deny Ukrainian history, assigning it to your nation and attribute the population of Russia to the Slavs . you belittle other nationalities. but now says "Finns did right that they resist to USSR" because they punch the "brave invincible nation" like yours..haha..the present "ethnic Russians" have nothing to do with Russia and the Slavs. you are Moksha geeks. and we punch you too.
