Forgot to comment on the picure: I love cyberpunk myself so great to see other people who understands neo-tokyo is from William Gibson's Neuromancer, also where the term cyberpunk came from. Most people dont know that, i read all the trilogy of novels when i was a kid, introduced by my caretaker lol.

Black doggo did catch my eye first, then I saw the title.. Which reminded me of Akira since Neo Tokyo was the city akira takes place in, mainly

Akira is an example out of many movies/shows use that futuristic 80s aesthetic which synthwave/cyberpunk music and style is based off of. So people directly relate synthwave to Akira since they remember the style from the movie/comics
