There's an old African story about a Creator who wove the world... Anansi The Spider was an honoured Trickster-Hero character in many Ashanti tales from West Africa, and was sometimes credited with creating the world...
Was walking in Franklin Canyon and saw this massive orb-spider web between two pines. At a guess, it was at least two to three feet wide, perfect and utterly gorgeous. I had some fun in getting this shot, as I had to manage to stand on an extreme slope, balance my camera and get a good telephoto shot in the light that was quickly shifting toward noon...
I hit the contrast and sautration pretty high to get this effect, but I'm pretty happy with it.

I know, isn't it just COOL? I try to tell people the stuff I see when it's viewed up close- like, have you ever studied your own skin up super close under really bright sunlight? You will see a diffraction-effect similar to this, but it's so subtle, almost no-one ever notices it. Our own skins are very slightly refractive. Neat, huh?
Luckily, when I use the RAW format, even though each image is frakkin' huge, it seems to pick up everything. I just ramp up the saturation and contrast and blam! There it is, all these gorgeous rainbows and light filtering through the strands. Yummy. *hugs you for liking it*
No, indeedy! Heh. I took a pic of a ceiling-fixture in Scotty's Castle in Death Valley. When I saw it in the camera's little screen, I thought I would have to delete it for being too dark, but when I got to my photoshop program to see if I could clean it up, WOW! All the detail, and I gave it a nice warm yellow in saturation... I'll post it here, soon.
