/s means the post was in sarcasm, poking fun at all the people who think relationships built on physical, emotional, and sexual abuse should win out just because they were friends as kid and because Cooper loves Andy. Cooper was/is a damaged individual but he's been a disgusting person who literally sexually assaulted Andy and thought it was funny just so he wouldn't get a raise.
I get it's a comic and it has porn in it so people are suckers for true love and Cooper is "hot" so they wanna see him and Andy bang, but seriously. It's laughable people are defending it seriously. Laughable and pretty disgusting.

I totally concur with you that cooper has been an ass to andy and I never said a love relationship can be based in the kind of abuse cooper has done to andy, all Im saying is that we ALL make mistakes, Im not deffending cooper but maybe, just maybe cooper is a victim as well, we dont know how his parents treated him or if he was bullied or what is going in his mind, we've only seen one side of the coin. Maybe im wrong and maybe cooper is not a victim and is just an ass... the only truth we know is that we really dont know for sure and

We know a lot - I fund jackaloo on patreon and I've already seen this backstory. Cooper is a victim as well and is treated poorly and I feel for him (without spoiling this mini backstory) and he pretty much just uses and loses Andy because he's ashamed of being seen with him (like here) and has feelings for him. I agree with you that Cooper is also very much a victim, but that doesn't make it acceptable at all. It is just a comic, but these things happen all the time in real life and it's not fair for one person to suffer and be hurt and deal with it just because the other person is damaged. Like yeah, I get it but it's not ever an excuse and at some point it becomes a choice and Cooper needs to rake responsibility. You can tell from the current timeline that he still doesn't own up to it or feel bad about it - he feel a bad for himself, not for Andy. Hes selfish and makes excuses. I'm sure he's gonna gdt a redemption arc of some kind, but ugh.
OMG this, I agree so much with you. I mean it's ok to have flaws and make mistakes, we all have and do them. However it's not fair for Emery to be doing everything right and giving his best just to be pushed aside because hey the other guy learned his lesson. Good for Cooper if he redeems himself, but that doesn't mean Andy should stay with him.
yeah, I agree 100% about that. You can apologize and redeem yourself but that doesn't mean you get what you want. Saying sorry can't undo the damage that's been done or the horrible words and actions. I don't think Emery has done everything right, and I don't actually see Andy staying with him, BUT I think this is a very good first relationship for Andy. A relationship where he gets treated well and respected and isn't pushed or put upon too much. Emery has been respectful and encouraging of Andy, which is awesome. I very much love how Andy is still a really strong character despite all the bullshit with Cooper - seeing him just accept Cooper after everything would feel like backwards progression for his character (I think).
I want to throw my two cents in here in defense of the Andy/Cooper ship.
First, I fully agree that Andy doesn't owe Cooper anything. Cooper, even if he is a victim, is still an asshole, and has still done some pretty terrible things. I've also seen the Patreon stuff, and yes, Cooper is also a victim, and no, I don't think that excuses anything.
But when I choose a ship, I don't make that decision based on who deserves who or who is a better person. I make that decision based on what makes a better story. Andy and Emery seem like they're great for each other, but that's kind of the problem. Unless the ex-wife turns out to be a psycho (assuming that she really is his ex), I don't see much conflict arising in the near future with them. And without a strong point of conflict, there really isn't much of a story to tell. I never liked Lady and the Tramp for kind of the same reason. Not a lot happens. Tramp and Lady meet, fall in love, and... well, that's kind of it. I feel like anything further about Andy and Emery will be mostly the same unless there's something about Emery that we don't know yet.
But with Andy/Cooper, there's so much potential for a good story. I mean, hell, Cooper was a big point of contention in this story, and it wasn't even about him. The struggle that Cooper and Andy face is way more interesting than anything that I can see coming out of Emery and Andy right now. Especially given Chelsea's involvement.
I can understand not wanting to see someone's abominable behavior rewarded. Getting Cooper to place where he's a decent person would be painful for a lot of people. But the catharsis that would come from them ending up together would be way more rewarding than any happily ever after that Emery could give Andy.
I only write this because I worry that Jackaloo will see people's reaction to Cooper and shy away from an interesting story because people (understandably) hate him. Just want to say that I am 100% down to watch the shitstorm of emotion that would come from Cooper finally admitting his feelings, even if it throws Andy's life into chaos.

I understand wanting a better story, but to be honest the bad guy being redeemed just for being damaged is a huge cliche in furry comics, so I can't agree on that making it more interesting. If Jackaloo can actually make an interesting take on why Andy should stay with Cooper then yeah go for it.
Also it's still a good story if he ends up with Emery, it doesn't have to be a huge redeeming act. We could even get Cooper struggling to move on, learning to accept himself before he tries to date someone and it would make for a good story too.

The amount of people I see shipping these two is appalling. I mean seriously, that trope that someone is an ass to you simply because they love you does not fly with me. I honestly don't even find it laughable, just sad. Its the same thought process of people who defend a rapist and blame a victim.
The issue is I think a lot of people just like that fantasy. They can identify with Cooper of struggling with his sexuality and have been victims in similar ways as Cooper. Additionally, furry culture where randomly grabbing junk or being aggressive is seen as acceptable or no biggie because porn and sex. Which yeah I know this is taking a comic seriously but it's here to tell a story, not just be porn, so I also want to look at the story. People can identify with Cooper and also want fap material so I think those two lead to a look of Cooper x Andy fans. Plus Cooper is the "underdog" here so people want to see him succeed..
I know, but I always put myself in the story as if it really happened, that's why it annoys me. I struggled a lot too with my sexuality, to the point of attempted suicide, I still never treated people terribly. I know I sure as fuck wasn't ready as a young teen to have a relationship and failed miserably when I tried, but this trope just upsets me. I would not want to do that to anyone, I'd feel ridiculously guilty, nor would I be a happy camper if it was done to me.
I hope you're doing better now - I'm so sorry to hear that you went through that. People unfortunately handle stress differently - depression can manifest from seclusion to over-aggression and violence to anywhere in-between. It doesn't excuse it, but I can understand where it can happen to some people.
Oh yeah, that was fricking what...13 years ago now? I'm fine. I've dealt with all of those depression attacks too, seclusion, self destruction, over aggression and violence, its a real bitch and a half. Happy pills are a good thing! That taboo that you can beat your own brain is bull. Its chemicals in your brain, you may be able to endure, but you'll never heal without proper chemical balance.
Its unbeatable. You're literally incapable of fixing the synapses in the brain or produce enough serotonine. You can endure all you want, it just doesn't fix it. And thank you sweety, really appreciate the kindness amidst the sea of suck the internet has become these days! :3
In real life it's not ok to just grab a friend's junk without their consent and to keep a constant abusive attitude towards someone just because you can't deal with your own feelings properly. Andy deserves better, someone like Emery who supports him in all the ways he needs. That's why I loved the sex scene with Emery, not because of it being hot but rather because of how sweet he was to him with what he said.
I'm thinking of the time Chelsea took Andy to get a new pair after he trod on the old pair.
He mentioned that Cooperpooper had been responsible for the loss of the last roundframes he had.
What surprised and dismayed me at the time was the offhand way that Chel saw it as nothing more than another amusing Cooperpooper tale.
Although, to be fair, she wasn't there.

Cooper is so damn cute and hot, particularly in that last panel. THAT FACE!!
But yeah... since there's so much vocalized support for Andy+Emery, I'll vocalize my support for Andy+Cooper. I really don't understand this fandom's daddy feti-...
Never mind, I just got it. Still disturbing, though.
