Normally I put these in scraps as they're just rough little drawings. This one got a bit out of control :D I finished it enough to post it in the Gallery section.
I picked on
Orbyss this week. I can see now that my memory is slipping again. I was thinking more mothman-turned-grey-alien and I think I missed the mark on more than a few points here.
Sorry Orbyss - that's what I get for working without reference.
--- coloured pencil, graphitint pencil, coloured stock (and I admit I tinkered with the eyes and the levels a bit on the ol' computer too)

I'm...stunned? I love how it's your own interpretation, all references aside. It's absolutely perfect you didn't use reference, actually -- I love to see what people make of concepts purely from their own interpretation, and this is as close as it gets.
I love the dino-man look, especially, and the somehow innocent expression the globular eyes and cocked head give it. I'd honestly say it represents the inquisitive feeling I have for these guys. Very, very nice.
You realize I can't let this go without something in return, right? It also gives me the perfect opportunity to do something with traditional media. Since I don't really see a static character in your gallery (though I'm assuming this character is it), I'll let you choose, or go with the obvious. :D

I'm glad you like it --- I was thinking if you saw it from dead on, at night, all you'd see would be the eyes and the bridge of the nose ...
The character you picked I suppose is the main critter that seems to be stuck with me. Honestly, don't feel you have to do anything at all in return - but I'd love to see what you make of that odd "panglecorn" of mine if you get a moment. You do amazing work (I've looked at your dino images on your site and they're just unbelievably good). I'm just glad my rendition wasn't insulting or something

I'm so out of it today I forgot to favourite it. :( I'M DOIN' GOOD. I'm probably not the best for doing art right now.
I don't have to, I want to, and this is just perfect since you did it in traditional. I'm itching to do some pen/pencil work again. But any ideas you have and want to see my interpretation of, throw it at me.
Eyes and bridge of the nose, that definitely sounds about right. The slightly protruding muzzle might look like a beak of sorts, too.

According to David Icke's theory, I'm supposed to *be* a reptilian hybrid
It's a long story. Sadly I cannot shape shift, do not drink blood, have never had a nocturnal visit from scaly snake-men, do not attend special underground meetings with the Queen, have no special powers and am about as psychic as a potato. *sigh*
But seriously, I do love the look of the whole "overlord reptilian" thing. There's something about a reptile that's so alien all on it's own ... charming and unnerving, familiar but remote.

It has to do with your bloodlines or something. Family lore says we're related (illegitimately) to one of his reptile overlord bloodlines that are supposed to rule the world. Either the fellow is completely off his rocker, or my latent reptilian hybrid powers have failed to kick in.
I'll let you know the very moment if/when it happens.
Personally I don't believe a word of it. But it's fun to imagine that someday my Reptile Brothers will come for me so I can take my rightful place as Princess of Canada
