Dracopuma is indeed VERY big (several hundred feet tall), and also a herm, not a male.

I like this new look of DP's head. It's been too long since I've seen you draw hir, and I'm very happy with how this has come out. The look of her eyes are very captivating, love it!

Shi is one sexy draco I might add. ^^

I took a good look at the maw and I almost really can't think of anything
except a 'slight' miscalculation in the large front teeth and where the jaw ends!

But I'm not a good artist so I can't really give that information.

well; being shi's such a personal endeavour of yours and your own sense of - it often seems - perfectionism (ina good way; definitely), I'm not too surprised really. still looks outstanding; for both hir looks and your talent.

okay, apologies for the dual post, but... i just realised as i clicked add... the one of DP with hir mouth open... shi seems to show a sort of snake-like quality with hir mouth. sort of a cross maybe between a python and a viper (bulk/teeth).

I can more than understand why any artist would have reservations about their art (I'm no different with my writing) but frankly shi looks pretty excellent as shi is.

Granted the mouth interiors are a bit confusing given which species shi's a mix of, but the overall look of the head is great.

Sweetie I'm getting that funny mental image again....

But sie so cute how can you resist. If I remeber sie does have a long tongue and 200ft or so tall.

I'm weird in that I love macros sometimes... but I can never UNDERSTAND them for some reason, though I've spoken to quite a few. Some don't seem to be able to explain it, and others just don't want to one way or the other...

In any case, I do like the way you draw your chars, and the detail you put into the pictures; I think you've done a decent job on this one, but don't let my words change your mind... you can always do better than you have, even when what you've done is pretty damn good. Never settle for anything. ^_^

If I might offer a suggestion; just consider how the teeth will mesh when the jaws are closed, and keep that in mind as you're drawing the open maw... the bits of skin to the corners could or could not be there, since DP is a mix of draconic and feline...

Also, I have never thought of dragons as purely reptilian; they are far too widespread in myth and legend (and in general) to be so, plus they tend to be hybridized with just about every other species.

So don't let yourself be drawn to much into trying to draw a reptilian maw; there's no reason a dragon, especially a dragon hybrid like DP, would look very much like that.
