So as a departure from my normal work, I took a shot at graphite again. I used to be a primarily traditional media (graphite and colored pencil) artist before I started digital artwork. This is a anatomical study graphite piece of my sona, Penn, in which I wanted to detail the structure of the skull. I combined features from an eagle skull and wolf skull to create the hybrid skull, with the skin and fur peeled back so that the structure is visible. This piece was done with a mechanical pencil over 2 days. Please don’t use my art without my permission.
