In the japanese version there was an actual story... but it was cut when translated because it carried religious themes.

Also, there is nothing more badass than a fat shirtless fire-breathing russian.

HELL YEAH MAN!!! a few months ago i had an itch to play the original arcade game, and ITS STILL HARD AS FUCK! Even with out needing endless amounts of quarters i think i only got to the first stage boss!

Kudos for dredging up good old childhood vexations XD

lol, to me, he was one of the coolest games on the nes, and then they made a shitty sequel and he was never heard of again. lol. true story. glad to see others remember the fire ball spitting genie. lol.
