As the Orc learned over the course of his life from doing this several times before, moving is not something that can be done easily - it takes quite a lot of effort, pretty much requires you to triple check everything to make sure you haven't forgotten even a single thing and it consumes an absolutely atrocious amount of time no matter how efficient you are with packing.
But it was done now. Everything was in place, the furniture has been delivered and the moving company lads have said their goodbyes after the last run from the old apartment.
While the green-skinned man was occupied with assembly of the home appliances and setting up the new wireless home network, his Bovine roommate, Pyre, was pulling his own weight and doing the unpacking, the Bull's demeanor cheerful and genuinely excited - a long shot from what the man used to be like not so long ago.
Humming a soft tune to himself under his breath and occasionally flickering one of his ears, Pyre was going from one box to the next one, diligently sorting clothing and personal belongings for both himself and his Orcish friend, seemingly not really concerned about such a delicate thing as personal privacy - it felt like he instinctively knew where to place everything within the drawers that the Orc has already finished building up. Every single item he went through rang a bell in the Bull's memories... until he came across something that made him monetarily stop and snort in slight confusion, as if trying to remember something that was eluding him.
It was a pair of brand new running shoes. Definitely not human-sized - they looked more fit for an Orc - but they were in the box that had Pyre's name on it, the box that he had packed quite a while ago when he and his Lycanthrope friend just started getting ready for the move.
As Pyre took the footwear out of the cardboard box and held the pieces of apparel in his large three-fingered hands, curiously inspecting them from all angles, he finally called out to the other side of their new home.
"Oi! Orcbro! Found some new kicks in one of my boxes! Don't remember getting them though!"
Whatever the Orc was doing quickly stopped and, in a second, the tusked face peaked out from around the corner looking slightly concerned.
"But you bought them ages ago... Even bragged that you'd grow into them one day."
"Did I?" Pyre furrowed his brows for moment but then brightened up visibly and smiled while carefully placing one of his large hooves on the closest still sealed box, "Now use for them now. You want them? Them seem to be your size."
"Err... Sure!" The Orc nodded and went back to setting up the TV stand on the other side of their shared living space without saying much else. Still, the sounds of the screwdriver tightening in the bolts didn't resume straight away.
The Orc Werewolf kept thinking back to the short conversation that just took place and about just how much of Pyre was left in the big muscled Bull after he, well, become a big muscled Bull and started calling himself Pyre as if that had been his name his entire life. Sighing, green-skinned man rubbed his face tiredly and went back to work.
Family reunion with his Bovine roommate's folks would truly be a sight to behold.
