Nagas have always been the worse fear of any small prey, including humans. This giant naga, however, is different. Cobra, if the name didn’t give it away, is a 25-foot cobra naga. A naga in general is a half human, half snake. A cobra naga is the same thing only more snakes like (full scaly body and snake like head) and has a very large cobra hood and is far more deadly then the average naga.
When he was a baby, an archeologist discovered him in a temple. The human took Cobra home and was raised like he was one of them. As he grew older and bigger, the villager began to worry if he would start making a meal out of them (Especially after he ate one of the local farmers cow).
He felt it was best he moved in with other nagas in the Forest of Snakes. However, he was treated very poorly by the other nagas. And when he saw what they did to lost travelers in the forest, he decided that his was not to join them, rather to eat them. He now helps travelers get through the forest safely. And if any naga was stupid enough to attack the travelers, they became his dinner. Now that the Beastlings took over the forest, the local naga became more active and ferocious.
When he met Thomas who was about to be eaten by another naga, he immediately wanted to know every thing about where he came from. Earth was just a fantasy on Laven. Cobra’s human father always told him about stories of Earth and always dreamt of going to Earth. When he learned that Thomas, Loreit, and Washout were going to find the Star of Orion, he wanted to join their little group to perhaps see what Earth was like.
Cobra nagas are known to be the most deadly race of naga ever. A cobra naga coil grip has the strength to crush a bus. His large fangs can penetrate steal and the poison released from the fangs can kill an ogre. In a small dose, though, it can be used as morphine. If an enemy is too dangerous to get close to, he can shoot acid with deadly accuracy in to the enemy’s eyes. If he has a captive in his tail, he can hypnotize them with his eyes to make them do what he wants.
His eating abilities rival that of Loreits. Unlike Loreit though, he becomes very lethargic and immobile if he eats anything larger than a troll and he can’t eat mass numbers, meaning he can’t use this ability till the end of a fight or battle. He has two stomachs like Loreit but perform differently. If the prey is a troll or smaller, they end up in his first stomach located in his humanoid abdomen and doesn’t suffer lethargy. If they are larger than a troll, they go to his snake belly located in the long snake tail and makes him sleepy.
Cobra is a serious flirter. He flirts with every girl he meets, including Loreit (who ate him the first time he tried). Other than that, he is a very good guy. Because he is such a rare species of naga, many hunters would love to have his hid as a trophy. Loreit does like him, but in a rival like way. Nagas and taurs have had a love hate relationship for years. Cobra, with out a doubt, is the physicaly strongest member of the team.
