At a local zoo they have free ranging lemurs, ring-tailed lemurs and black and white ruffed lemurs.
I've been visiting them regularly for the last 4 years and I kind of befriended their two ruffed lemurs. They always sit on my lap when I visit them and they come running to me in the morning when they see me.
So naturally I named the two Passimians that I caught after them since Passimian's design is based on black and white ruffed lemurs :3

That's actually why this works so well. It's not a petting zoo, interactions with the lemurs are only allowed if they decide to come to you :) They are just very friendly and curious so if you don't annoy them they will check you out.
Ruffed lemurs seem to be especially friendly in captivity. And if you know the right spots they are actually very cuddly. If you scratch them behind the ear they tilt their head so you can reach the right spot :P
I'm not implying that they would make good pets though! They are critically endangered so keeping them would be absolutely wrong, they are constantly pooping everywhere because they have a very fast digestive system and they can be a little destructive. They both always try to steal my big bluetooth headphones... Probably because it smells like me.
So as much as I love them, I definitely want them to stay at the zoo! XD
