Here's a lil preview of some character designs/expressions of Lisa and Vicki for the Milkshakes Visual novel we are working on. Which is going really well, my brother Layton has written over 60 pages of script so far :)
Currently Vicki has the most expression poses. Her proportions with probably be tweaked with a bit before she gets colored but Lisa's I think came out perfect in her base pose ^^

Is it just me or is Vick becoming a bit softer looking compared to her older design. She isn't what I would consider as fat nut her stomach doesn't look as flat as other images. Lisa''s hips look about as exaggerated ad her older design it seems to me. They both look amazing still, nice job so far
You going for a commercial product or a free thing? If you're looking for music programs, or such, I can recommend a few suggestions for music. FL Studios is a good one, and I know a couple games that made music based on just using the demo - Lisa the Painful is a prime example.
As for backgrounds, what kind of setting are you going for? And if you're looking to outsource some of that work, there are forums and such who are willing to help out with that sort of thing.

It will be free, after releasing the first episode "ie the first chapters" if people would like to support it on patreon that would be great but there's no plans for releasing it on steam or anything like that.
My brother is being pretty insistent on us doing all of the work but I dont think that will be possible at the very least not when it comes to the music.
I hate drawing backgrounds and would be interested in those forums you mentioned.
