It seems that Royalvern has captured a little dragon wandering in her territory, and has decided to put this one to good use.
But of course, being a wyvern herself, she has no need for a full dragon and has instead decided to to make a few... adjustments to this dragon to suit her needs better.
Forcing the dragon to use its wings in a wyvern-like forelimb fashion pleases her greatly, and suits what she would expect from those that work within her land.
It will take some getting used to, but the more the dragon uses his wings to walk around with, the more he'll get used to it. His body will begin to adapt to these changes and soon this dragon won't have to think about his forelimbs anymore and will primarily use his wings like every other wyvern. Then he'll be the perfect subject to do Royalvern's bidding.
The numb forelimbs remain tucked away as a reminder of Royalvern's control over this one, and perhaps many more to follow who dare enter her domain.

The tiny wyvvern tries to crane her neck over to reach the dragon's eyes in order to subdue him, but there is a problem - she is too small to reach, and ends up just hanging there. The dragon sits dumbfounded at what this little creature is trying to do, and wonders if she needs a bit of assistance in this matter.

I don't know why but there is something sad about the situation given the flavor text. I guess the line where it states that the "now useless forelimbs" is where it originates from. I just picture dragon with small shriveled useless front limbs and makes me sad.

While I will admit there's a bit of a sad note where the dragon's forelimbs are now numb and useless, for some reason, I really like this picture, in spite of things that would normally bother the crap out of me.
Maybe part of it is the catharsis in regards to my frustrations about people going "tHaT's A wYvErN nOt A dRaGoN!!! or "wYvErNs ArEn'T dRaGoNs!" in several single piece of media involving a four-limbed dragon instead of a six-limbed one.
Because in all honesty, people need to stop being so anal and pedantic about that shit.
On the other hand, I also feel like, while this is technically demeaning, in many ways the little drake has found a happy home? A place to belong? So it seems like he's being accepted as a wyvern among wyverns even though he's not one.
Anyways, sorry for soapboxing in your comments section. This is a great pic, an appealing situation (if slightly bittersweet), and despite the incompatible sexuality on my part, I get the impression that I wouldn't mind being under Royalvern's thrall myself.
Though at that point, it's not like I would have a choice XD
