I took an image with my phone because it's kind of a teaser. I'll dig up an actual camera once I post the completed piece and this will be moved into scraps.
A few years ago I drew this piece: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/14841454/
I've been struggling for awhile now and one of those facets I've been struggling with is my art. I was looking through the gallery of an artist I greatly admire. There was a piece that stood out to me, pictures of shelves.
Apparently, they had made them to store their supplies on, in response to an art rut. They argued too often us artsy-fartsy types try to break out of ruts by forcing our crafts. That it's wiser to step away and do something else for a bit, the shelves served not only to store things but to help them focus on something else.
So I followed their advice or tried too. If anything it's really refreshing. For whatever reason when I started to consider the idea that piece jumped to mind.
So here's little Mike bunny and he's all primed up. I figured this was a good point to share with a teaser of sorts.
I'm not quiet to the painting stage yet. Still need to do some cleaning up and I'm still toying with yanking his ears off and making him a pair closer to what's in the image. We'll see.
Here's a couple other angles for those who want to see that stuff:
