Because not everyone feels the need to hide those aspects of themselves, and if anything putting them on your 'sona helps you come to grips with aspects of yourself you struggle with.
I mean if youre going to argue that you could just as easily argue that theres no reason for trans characters to even show that theyre trans at all. Many have their own reasons for choosing to own something or reclaim something, one of the biggest reasons I've heard is destigamatisation and encouraging people to talk or otherwise subtly change their attitude of 'normal'
