Subject: black stag from the hall of bulls
Materia Artistica: Acrylics on slate
References: The photos of the art in the damn caves! yes i copied them!
notes: Yes these are from the paintings on the walls. No i am not an art thief. hell i could have been one of those artists. anyway these are being done for pennsic. I did a batch of cave paintings long long ago when puppies were the eldest of all things and last year whilst going through things of art i had done in that long ago legendary time i found the last remaining ONE and took ti forth with me to Pennsic. there it was much ooooo and aaahhed over and indeed it sold so quickly it madeth my own head spin much like that beloved children's toy the spun skull... i mean top! yes top. why what child would play with their mothers skull in such a manner!
so indeed i had resolved to make more of these arts. they are not as good as the originals which were made in a haze of creativity that has eluded me since but they turned out well. And i am rather happy with a few of them. and yes they are from the actual cave images. so when some of them look like "thats not there!" indeed they are.

So I think if you threw a bit of the furry fandom on it it would really be something that many people will find quite appealing. You do it very well and I am sure if you tried to make portraits of specific people like they were shamans ohh lawl for the fursuits. Like I said. I think you really are onto something Thead :)
Ohh by the way...in unrelated news I nursed the betta back to health!!! I moved him back to his bowl yesterday and he seems happy as a mangrove crab at the base of the biggest tree in the world. His eyes have recovered quite well save for a little cloudiness and he looks quite healthy! I was so worried because for the longest time he didn't eat. I thought he was blinded forever and woldn't be able to see the food. Also for a while his floaty blatter muist have been hit because he was all tilty. I was sure he was going to die...I am so proud of myself. I was able to save him :D

oh i planned on trying to do stuff like that. doing up furs as figures on cave walls and such. and aboriginal style ones as well. as it is anything like this in the art show got a lot of attention and next year is the theme for it too. so i hope to do some nice stuff for next year. i have four more to get done before pennsic as well as four more lanterns and some more packing and prep work. today and tomarrow are going to be damn busy.
and i am glad to hear about the betta making it back to health. that is always a good thing. The Oscar i adopted has turned out to be a vegetarian. it likes eating cucumber pieces and the koi food more than the oscar bites and has not even tried to go after the feeder fish it has in there. they eat out of her mouth. she will still eat the Oscar bites but seemingly grudgingly. through in an algae waffer or something and WHAM she is all over it!
