Track's life was one of danger and peril the moment he decided to try and fight back the Chrome Gadget takeover. Whilst the other citizens had been fully willing to bend to Eggman's rule, some fought back.

Track fought back, but impulse and panic soon got him into deeper waters than he cared to be involved with. A peaceful, happy expression belies his terrified soul, trying not to give into his own fear so he can stay alive. All this running has given him a set of unique exploratory skills...but being near Chrome Gadget now sets him off. Scared, trembling, paranoid.

Track can't go home now, but that's quite alright. It isn't like his home has became somewhere he wants to live anymore.
