The penultimate flight of the incredible Delta II rocket carrying NOAA/NASA's JPSS-1 weather observation satellite from Vandenberg Air Force Base in California.
Had my 550mm lens snag this shot from the public viewing site about 5km [3mi] from the pad and atmosphere was cooperating in letting me push the glass all the way. And of course, with 100 seconds left in the countdown the launch was scrubbed. Oh well.
