Recently, I've been thinking about a unicorn character who was raised as a racehorse. He started out really athletic and healthy and dominated (not in that sense) most of his competition up until his early twenties. He trained extensively, and had most of his life decided for him by his parents/coaches/etc. That is, until he realized there was more out there than the very limited scope of what he'd been allowed to experience. He discovered the wonders of junk food, most prominently milkshakes...and it all went down(up)hill from there. Now he's put on a huge amount of weight, and doesn't even bother with his workouts and training anymore. His racing career is probably over...but who cares? Milkshakes are better than silver and bronze medals anyway.
