Well I'm about 33% done with the rebuild project ^^
And my friend wanted me to use the engine that was already in the car... pfft, good thing I didn't follow his 'words of wisdom' cause the shit that was in the car was infested with rat shit, corn seed, rat poison, and other shit they use to make nests. Did I mention the countless bones and dead dried out rat bodies I found?
So he finally shut up and helped me with the L24 lol. Meanwhile we ripped out the engine in the car and tore it down for spare parts, it makes the car look funny with no weight in the front XD I didn't use the crank from the L26 since I couldn't and don't have the tool to get the rods off the pistons but I found out the L24s had more powah anyway XD
So yea, here's the underbelly of the L24 at about 33% done... btw, thumbs and heavy crank shafts DO NOT MIX >_< but I just popped it back in place and kept going. I haven't torqued anything down yet just due to the fact I haven't had any luck finding torque specs for the car, and ALLDATA is worthless shit as they only go back to the 80s and most their shit is inaccurate anyway lol
As for the pistons, it was surprisingly easy to rering them :O mustang I tinkered with years ago was a BITCH, practically used every swear in the German dictionary just trying to get those things on lol As for this though, they slipped right into place, had all 6 pistons done in like 10min ^^ then the joy of jamming them into the cylinder, oh joy! lol
So I get them in and I quickly found out that iron blocks hold up nicely! as those fuckers were SNUG in there. To get them onto the crank was just as hard since they had to be lined up right as not to scratch the rod or crank x.x but after about 34min they were all connected and bolted down ^^
Once I get to Florida, I'll be tearing it all back down and tuning it for higher power output :D this project is to just get the dame thing running so I canz drive it ^^
Did I mention that fakin clutch is HEAVY!!!! o.O
But yea, this is heart surgery for yea lol :P

Your wrong, even in the ford T the torques specification was accurate. Even if the whole car seems inaccurate, all torque in motor are very important, to much can bring to break or deformation, not enough can bring to self dismounting or leakage.
I suggest you to find these torque, not on internet but on a flea market where you easily find old technical guide for all these "modern cars" of the past days.
