The elevator dinged and the double-doors of it slid open, revealing the two mean that were inside - a Pandaren and an Orc. The receptionist already had her eyes on them and quickly glanced over the notes on the screen of her computer, quickly confirming who those two were as they entered hall of company.
"Oh, Mr. Bearbrow, Mr. Blackwood! It's so good to see you, gentlemen!" the human lady's face was shining with hope, "We've been completely grid-locked this entire time!"
The Pandaren smiled warmly and slightly bowed in reply while his colleague just grunted and took out a laptop from the onsite visit bag, already connecting to the company's hidden wireless staff network and running some quick diagnostics to determine where the point of failure was.
"The pleasure is ours, Ms. Please excuse my companion - he hasn't had his caffeine fix this morning yet." Lanhao said softly and lightly jabbed the Orc in the ribs with an elbow, prompting the other man to be more respectful and look up from the screen of the portable computer.
"How are you, Kelly? No more disk space issues on your machine since yesterday?" the Orc said in his deep voice.
The receptionist's own smile only grew wider. "No, no, it's been working marvelously! Thank you so much for sorting that one out! Now the server room is right this way, lads. I'll go grab some refreshments. Coffee for you, Mr. Blackwood," she winked, "and for you, Mr. Bearbrow...?"
"Green tea is fine, thank you."
Some heads turned and looked up from their seats as the unusual duo made their way through the office to where all the network gear was stored at and the Orc adjusted the strap of the bag that he was carrying on his shoulder. Loud whirling noise of the server blade coolers instantly assaulted the ears of the engineers as Lanhao punched in the code into the padlock and opened the door, allowing them both into the small room.
"It's the second switch... Should be right there, at the bottom." the Orc growled.
"Got it."
Getting on his knees and then flat-out laying down on the floor on his belly while keeping himself propped on his elbows, the Pandaren pulled the device out from the rack as much as the cables that were plugged into it could allow and turned the box over in his paws looking for a console port at the back of it.
"Here you go." said the Orc and handed his colleague one end of a thick cable, the other end of it already connected to the laptop that he had in his large green hands.
"There, all plugged in. Check the subnet settings on port 11."
"Sure. Hmm... remind me why did you ditch your shoes again?"
