http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1094434/ if your going for something as simple as that, then yeah all I did in that pic was take a full color photo of myself, and just go to image, contrast levels and just blow everything out of proportion till what I wanted was gained... then glow diffusion it up! or what ever that filter is called...

I had tried upping the contrast a ton, but even then, it didn't fix it completely. I do this all traditionally, so having to go in digitally as well is a bit of a pain. what sucks is, my old scanner used to be able to do that for me XC

well all other advice I can give is try running "Auto level balance" before any other level adjustments, it sometimes works in darkening and brightening what needs to be before you start blowing the brightness values all over the place o3o

WAIT IM SMART! forgot one more important thing try messing with the stamp filter! >.<

How do you say "umbral" in english? "Threshold"?

It's in Image/Adjustment/ It's literally black or white, with the sharp pixelated edge that I don't like, but maybe it's what you are looking for.

well if you take a picture and your want it to be purely black and white you go to image>adjustments>levels and move the white and black sliders to the center, but it will be a bit grainy depending on the picture. If you take a color photo or something, you can use the sponge tool to take away the color to make it grey do the levels thing... Or if its like likework from something you scanned you do the same thing, but move the sliders all the way to the right, except move the white one in a little bit so everything doesnt turn dark. Though scanned stuff will look grainy too x.x... if you want i can screencap some stuff and show you.
