a little critique:

I think the shape and placement of the background image is nice- even the image itself, but i think you chose colours too close to the horses in vibrancy and tone, so its very difficult to see where the horse ends and the background begins. Perhaps if you'd have lighted the background so might lighter tones so that they faded into the background- it would have created better depth between the horse and its background.

Take that as you will. :)
