Esaro loves dresses, but put him in a super feminine one and give him huge hair and dolly makeup, and he just melts like butter. Usually he carries himself confidently and can be quite demanding. This drawing captures him in one of his more apprehensive moments, just after his attendants make him up for the day and he must step foot outside.
This was done as a practice "sketch," to challenge myself to see how much I could get done in an hour. It took a little longer than that, but the basics were done in time. I gave it some final polish to make it--and him--presentable.

So this is what you've been working on! It's certainly very much in line with your mutual interests, though if you also have a thing for over the top eyelashes, I didn't know until just now.
It's good that you're training yourself on speed. Going from brain to paper that much faster isn't just good for getting more work done in the same amount of time, but also challenges you to process what you're doing that much more efficiently and to have more confidence in your lineart. There's some clear signs as to this being done quickly; the hair is a bit simpler than what you're capable of now, and some of the lineart around the shoulders is rather thick when your trend has been towards finer, more precise lines, but nothing you can't overcome, and it's nice to see some more metallic effects enter your coloring with the jewelry.
As an aside, do you have any particular thoughts regarding makeup on fur? it seems like the sort of thing that'd require special consideration to actually work.

First, I'd like to correct your assumptions in the first paragraph. I drew this in like 75 minutes last night as a spontaneous practice. And though I like long lashes as a concept, they and everything in this pic are designed expressly with Rek's tastes in mind.
I think makeup on fur needs to have more texture to it so it's obvious it's painted on the fur if one is going for a realistic effect. But then one would have to do the same effect for all of the rosettes. Anyway, the cheek spots are meant to appear doll-like. All of Esaro's facial features in this "mode" are supposed to appear more artificial.
