come on in the mutagens are fine! a sequel to http://www.furaffinity.net/view/23141168/ AJ still seems to be resisting the influence, but I get the feeling she'll come around sooner than later much like how (the now inappropriately named) pinkie has.
also nice try Zecora, but the tail has limited sentience and is fully capable of taking care of business even if Stheno is..."distracted"

Cool, though you ever worry that for somepony like Pinkie this is still just the start of her changes? Like, defying all expectations, she might surpass any sort of hulking spike covered behemoth anticipated by the one who changed her? IE, what happens when a for the sake of discussion) monster creates an even bigger monster they can't handle?
ah I was going to answer this immediately after you asked. If you wanted my recommendations 
Circ wrote some amazing stories for me with some very nice descriptions, and 
Jupiter_Jyohti can both carry a narrative and sketch at a more than reasonable rate, amazing for bouncing ideas off of (I don't think they're open right now though, but I guess check their page/journals for updates).
slug is also a decent option but I don't think this kind of thing is what they specialize in, plus there are availability issues there too. This artist
ArcheKruz is great AND they are usually accessible, but they may be prohibitively expensive for you; in fact the only reason I'm not doing more with them right now is I want to be in a position to comfortably pay for a whole set of what I want.

This is making me think of a villain song where Stheno is toying with Zecora, dangling her just above the pool's surface. The song builds as she inches ever closer, until the crescendo, where she is fully dunked, twisting and writhing under the surface only to emerge as a mutated horror.
hahaha maybe! sadly the only thing I've had much luck in is the visual medium, I've never been particularly driven to songwriting or anything. I guess if I had to pick a direction I suddenly thought of "mean green mother from outerspace" from little shop of horrors when things get this far out of hand as far as his mutations (also given the original ending, the scene you're imagining plays almost exactly like that when seymour is lowered into audrey's maw leading into the apocalyptic epilogue ).
There's something tragically sweet about the way Applejack is fighting a losing battle to hold onto herself. I imagine she was doomed just from the blast she got in the last picture, and now she's been drawn into Stheno's mutagenic hot tub with him and a subjugated Pinkie, and she can't even summon the strength to try to escape. Wonder what she would turn into, and Zecora since it looks like she's going get a dose of toxic masculinity too.
The invite to join the pool party sounds inviting if you want to get buff (and become a hulking, evil monster) without going to the gym, but I'm not sure if males get the same benefits.

I think the effects might be similar if a male was brought in, but there are a couple reason stheno prefers females over males. I was toying with the concept that as a bio-weapon stheno would be driven to target females primarily since not only does the lost of females defecting to his faction effectively immediately drop a regions fertility rate in his immediate wake to nothing, but turns every ensnared victim into highly effective warriors which are fully capable of defeating conventional forces in large scale military battles effectively destroying anywhere he is active with any conventional species. also that 1) males have a much higher chance of being able to resist his influence if they really wanted making them less desirable targets due to the way their brain chemistry is already somewhat acclimated to the less extreme/mutated versions of chemicals his viral ones are based off of or something like that 2) he might prefer to absorb them directly cell/majin buu style if they had abilities/information he needed in order to spread, and it's easier to do that when they're not as large/corrupted or something.
Stheno of course would not consciously think much on this matter, he's got a bit of tunnel vision in that he knows what he wants and doesn't think too much as to why. That being said I think I will have a couple of male volunteers at some point, just for the sake of equality (that, and I cannot bribe
PonyAnony into doing muscle mares; a pity since he'd be amazing at it).

I can relate, I'd probably end up converting females only into my followers too if I were an evil transformation monster too.
Nice concepts; that toxic masculinity completely subverts females, they seem completely seduced by the muscularity and physicality of their new selves, while males would be less susceptible to the mental effects.
Pinkie's design is really great, like the tail, love the flexing and contact with her new... leader? lover? master? best bud?
Interesting to know he's a bio-weapon, I thought perhaps he was a creature like Discord but with a biologically oriented theme.
(Maybe I'll just try sneaking in the pool when he's not around, I doubt he'd bother leaving Pinkie or AJ guarding it).

the "bio-weapon" thing is one of those things that kind of drifts around as far as cannon. like if I put him into anything commercially viable I'd have to kind of scrub/revamp all the MLP references; I still think it'd be funny to have him be a reject from a candy pony princess universe where that icky concept of natural selection that has been scrapped for centuries creeping back in and making all kinds of unsavory creatures with the restrictions behind our current understanding of biology lifted. I had an idea for him to be meant to be engineered to heal, but gradually having his function expand too far beyond it's original parameters and becoming completely corrupted. I think I originally wanted him to be misunderstood, but that is so cliche and the show kind of fixed a ton of areas where they were being too hard on misunderstood characters for the most part. He's not necessarily "evil", much like discord it's just his function (I'm not sure he'd "die" the same way discord would though)
