This was a tutorial I made back in March and originally [posted on Tumblr] since people were having a hard time matching my style when editing my pet bases or monthly RCC pets on Aywas. So here's a handy step-by-step guide to how I usually do my shading!

I'm still getting the hang of it--I couldn't figure out how to get the color workin, really, so I just tweaked the layers and posted my shading. I usually work in SAI and Photoshop, so I've never used FireAlpaca before--but it's a good program. I used to do a lot more work in this kinda "chibi" style--enjoyed this a lot and may get back to it soon! I shaded everything on one layer, which...probably explains the problems I had coloring this.
