I decided to compare the three main lombax heads we see in the game, Ratchet, Angela and Alister.
its all kind of my own speculation on their differences
dunno what it means but it seems to me that whatever breed of lombax alister is, its a different one from ratchet and angela, who seem to be a similar breed with minor differences.

i was talkin to someone about it yesterday and im like "maybe hes like a pug breed"
though i guess for cats itd be more of a persian breed
but lombaxes arent cats or dogs so -shrug-
i think a big part of what made alister end up the way he did is that the artist who drew him up is completely different from the artist who made up ratchet. so the way they draw their face shape is much more stylized and looks different even when they draw ratchet. If it had been the artist who had made ratchet and angela it probably would have been much more similar
speaking of which, i've never seen concept art of angela......

Oh really? I wouldn't really know because I don't look on Tumblr for Art all that often and the only Ratchet I would ever keep my eyes on was whenever 
discosmackdown uploaded some Ratchet fan art and she seemed to keep him in character for the most part.
