A special set of element themed bears commissioned by 
as a gift for her sister. A while back, I did a set of foxes similar to these for my sister, though I never posted them here. This was a fun and different kind of project to work on, and I enjoyed the more relaxed, simple style. ^_^

Hey Luthien! Sorry I never left a proper comment on this. I just wanted to stop by and say how much I love it! I know my sister will adore it and cherish it forever, too. Each one of these is beautiful on its own, and together there's a great balance of colors and shapes. I'm glad you suggested swapping the grizzly and the black bear; of course, there's the iconic image of the bear and fish, as you said, but the earthy brown of the grizzly and the intense black of the black bear work well with the colors in their respective settings, too. Thank you so much for being willing to go outside your menu and create this for me. I'm really glad it was fun for you to work on, too!
No problem at all, it was fun! Sometimes it's nice to step back and just do something simple like this. Kinda wishing I would have incorporated some honey/bees into the fire picture now, I forgot those firey stings are a good representation for the fire element! And so very bear-like. haha Let me know how she reacts! n_n
Ooh, that would have been way cool! :) And I most certainly will! I'm thinking I'll print out some as bookmarks and have her open those first, then have her open the original (which I'm hoping to get matted and framed by Christmas, if I can make it up to the art store I like an hour away).
