Timberwolf is my favorite mech of the clan mechs. However, I have an affinity for configuration A.

i agree, great all around mech, and if you're referring to MW3 i tend to lean toward alternate D :P or a custom

ACtually I meant BattleTech in general ^_^ ( I actually played the tabletop game first).

D is my second favorite, though rear facing STREAK 6's strikes me as a suicied mech. (it is designed to jump in the middle and fire both ways, as well as the PPCs

ooh, heheh XD yeah no kidding.. the mad cat mk4 makes great use of that ability though, gotta love an assault 'mech with jumpjets

oh yes. my favorite mech, the madcat(IS)/timberwolf(clan). ever play any of the games? these things in the artic environments perform like a damn assualt class with speed and maneuverablity.

yeah i've played them all :P -has been playing forever- but they are.. and they're ten times better in a vacuum, load it completely with lasers and high heat weapons and not have to worry about it XD..
i can't wait for the new mechwarrior game to come out :p

only ones i have are Mechwarrior 3 and Mechwarrior3:pirates moon. problem is, the port that my joystick plugs into deosnt work. its broken inside wher wecant get to it.so i either need a USB joystick (prefferably) or a new port.

both of those are my favorites, they have a way higher level of realism to them, even being older than mechwarrior 4: vengeance, black knight and mercs, the graphics are superior in my opinion :P mechwarrior 4 doesn't have destructable landscape, detailed cockpits, or the floating reticule.. not to mention the lasers, rockets and auto-cannons are far more realistic in 3 than in four, the only thing that is the same as far as weapons go in the two games is the ppc's and the flamer.. but yeah, good luck on the joystick problem, and i suggest USB it's way way less of a hassle

yea i know what you mean. its cus of that i havnt managed to beat pirates moon. although the AI isnt all that smart. especialy when you take out an atlas with a firefly by getting right up behind it and just machine gunnign the heck out of it and running around it until it dies.

Thor was my fav mech.

xD beta? i envy you XD If you were to recommend either the hunchback, or the catapult, what seems more effective?

i'm not going to say very much.... but each mech has their own playstyle. i'm bound by NDA.


but in MW4, i used the Catapult as a long range platform, with medlasers and LRM's. ;)

Well, yeah, kinda a given that the catapult is a missile boat, (plus i've played pretty much every battletech/mechwarrior game) i'm just having a hard time deciding which founders mech to choose since it's one and only one. but thanks anyway XD

I wonder why the Clans don't have MechCommanders aboard their dropships. Right now it seems the AFFC is the only military that uses them.

Too cocky perhaps? Though I'm not sure honestly.
